Dr. Chakraborty is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Chakraborty began her college education at 16 at MIT. After graduating from Albany Medical College, she completed her internship at the University of Maryland and her residency at Christiana Care in Delaware. She joins us after 16 years of OB/GYN practice at Kaiser Permanente and is transferring from a Capital Women’s Care DC office for a greater mix of high-risk patients.

She enjoys every aspect of Obstetrics and Gynecology including normal and high-risk obstetrics, gynecological surgery and office gynecology; especially patient education. She has a particular interest in contraception and conception/preconception, and surgery and alternatives to surgery; including advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic pelvic surgery. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son and daughter.
Dr. Chakraborty’s goal as a provider is to make sure every patient feels heard and empowered to achieve their optimal health.
